Overview
Prospective clients participate in an initial consultation with an attorney before formally engaging the Law Firm’s services. Initial consultations will be with Attorney Arora.
Consultation Duration
The initial consultation typically lasts for thirty (30) minutes, unless a longer time is specifically requested.
Consultation Format
This is a virtual meeting only. It will be conducted via phone, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams. It is not a face-to-face meeting at Arora Law P.C.’s office. The consultation may be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes.
Purpose of the Initial Consultation
Consultations are privileged and treated as confidential. Initial consultations are intended to provide general legal guidance regarding your matter and do not constitute legal services or a definitive legal opinion.
The purpose of an initial consultation by the attorney is to advise you, as a prospective client, regarding what legal options may be available to you and, if applicable, the minimum fee required for representation. The purpose is not to provide a definitive legal opinion because it may be impossible to fully assess a matter within the consultation time or with the information or documents you provide at the initial consultation. Because of time limitations and the information available at the consultation, it may not be possible to fully assess all aspects of your matter or provide a definitive legal opinion.
Formation of Attorney-Client Relationship
Please note this consultation does not establish an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only after both you and Arora Law P.C. have signed a written Agreement for Representation and any required retainer has been paid.
Retainer and Engagement Process
Following your initial consultation, if you choose to retain Arora Law P.C. (“Law Firm”) and the Law Firm agrees to represent you, both parties will execute an Agreement for Representation outlining the terms and conditions of the engagement.
Should you decide to retain the Law Firm after the consultation, the Law Firm may require a retainer deposit to be placed into the firm’s trust account. The retainer amount will depend upon the complexity and anticipated requirements of your matter. Retainer funds are held in trust and applied toward fees and costs incurred during representation.
Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy
Rescheduling and Cancelation requests must be made at least 72 hours before the scheduled appointment. If you request changes within 72 hours of your appointment, the consultation fee will be forfeited, and a new booking will be required.
No-Show Policy
If you fail to attend your scheduled appointment without prior notice, you will forfeit the full consultation fee. A new booking fee will be required for future appointments.
Communications Consent
By booking an appointment with Arora Law P.C., you consent to receive appointment-related communications from our third-party service providers. Such communications may include booking confirmations, payment receipts, reminders, and scheduling updates sent via email and/or text message (SMS).
Privacy and Information Protection
We do not disclose any non-public personal information regarding our clients or former clients except as authorized by our clients or as required by law. Access to personal information is restricted to employees, consultants, and co-counsel who require such information to provide services to you. We support physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect your personal information.
Legal Representation
Please note that if your legal matter involves a potential lawsuit, applicable statutes of limitations may restrict the time within which legal action can be filed. If you choose not to retain Arora Law P.C., or if the Law Firm declines representation, you should immediately consult another attorney to protect your rights. A decision by the Law Firm not to represent you should not be interpreted as an opinion regarding the merits of your matter.
Duties to Prospective Clients
Information you share with Arora Law P.C. during the initial consultation is treated as confidential, even if no attorney-client relationship is formed following the consultation.
